Versions of Hergest Ridge

The original album (28th August 1974)

Boxed Remix (26th October 1976)
An ambient stereo version made for Boxed. While mixing this version, Mike slimmed down the instrumentation considerably, removing the the snare drum and other parts he now felt were unnecessary.

Mike decided that this version should replace the original mix. Although not labelled as a remix, most vinyl pressings of Hergest Ridge after 1976 (and all CDs) contain this remix.

CD version (1985)
Features the Boxed remix.

HDCD Remaster (29th May 2000)
Remastered by Simon Heyworth at Chop 'Em Out studios in London, March/April 2000. The HDCD format provides higher sound quality when played in an HDCD-compatible CD Player.

Again, this CD features the Boxed remix of Hergest Ridge.
